3 2 1 Contact

3 2 1 Contact was a great show. I felt like it taught me a lot about honesty, humility, and science. As for todays game....

Three way action in the inagural game at the new park with Ed, unfortunately, on the DL. As for the game..the only objective thing I can say is the final score: Sarah: 3, Alex: 2, Nathan: 1

Fortunately, this was far from a sactioned event - what with no tangible strike zone, a fuzzy triples line, and suspicous field play from Alex, who apparently was not trying to hide the fact that he was on the receiving end of payment to misplay pop ups and lazy grounders.

We're currently soliciting names for the new park.

I'm going with "Beaver Field." Nathan's going with "Mouth Full of Dirt Park." It was a nice exhibition game, and the crowd really appreciated the sloppy play on all 3 sides.

2 things that will greatly improve the game over the dreaded Parking Lot Park:
1. A nice, big backstop.
2. No random people taking a stroll through the middle of the field twice a game without so much as a how-do-you-do.

I'm seeing a disappointing trend here. As the only female in the GL/Ed league, I can't help but notice the mounds of excuses that inevitably follow when I'm on the victorious "team". The first game at the new digs was definitely plagued with sketchiness/uncertainty due to a variety of factors, including (but not limited to) Nathan's unforgivable habit of catching strikes.
That said...batting speaks for itself. Stop stealing my thunder. Booooo
