Dramatic Finish in Afternoon Bunkhouse League Play
Gus held on to beat Benny 9-8 at South Lake Stadium.
Benny went ahead 6-1 early thanks to some long balls, one a three-run homer to deep right center which was the longest at South Lake this year.
Gus came back to tie it up on a string of doubles in the top of the 6th, then went ahead 9-6 in the 7th.
Benny rallied in the bottom of the 7th to come within one with runners on second and third, one out. Gus was able to bear down and get the last out on a grounder.
