It was the first game of the Tuesday-Thursday season, and the newly named Great Woods Park was ready for battle. Some of the park dimensions are still being worked out by the grounds crew, who hope to have the dimensions finalized for Thursday's game.

Scott and Nathan put their team ahead early with some long shots to right center, Scott with a long triple that scored two and Nathan with a three-run homer.

In spite of being down 7-2 at the bottom of the last inning, Peter's team was able to take advantage of some control problems to get back in the game. Amar put the winning run across the plate with a dribbler as time was running out.

It was a great start to the Pike League season, and the fans are looking forward to Thursday's game.
