Pike League Opens Parking Lot Park

The new park gave the offensive numbers a lift as John and Dow beat Alex and Angus 7-6.

It was an action packed game from the start. Angus hit a three-run dinger to center in the top of the first, and things were looking good. He then dropped the ball, literally, in the bottom of the inning - he let the second out get away, and they paid the price. Dow went on to put two shots over the wall in left, including a Granny. After a promising start, Alex and Angus were down 8-3 after 1.

They came back to make it interesting, with Alex taking advantage of the rolling triple to right several times. Angus had the tying run at the plate with one out in the top of the third, but could do no more than fly out to center to end the game.

John was called up to Pike League action for the first time and put on a good show.

All in all, it was a good day at The Lot.
