Pike League Lefty Day

It was Lefty Day Thursday and the lefties Scott and Nathan beat Angus, Alex and Dow 12-6 at The Lot.

Note: An official protest has been filed as this game violated league bylaw #100k.b4u.134p "Left handers must be balanced between teams."

Scott and Nathan got ahead early and never looked back. Scott left the park once and Nathan put 3 into the upper deck. Alex provided most of the runs for the losers with patience at the plate.

foul pole ambiguities

A dark shadow was cast over the game when it was ruled, contrary to precedent, that a shot off the foul pole is actually foul. The little known "when the foul pole is shrubbery" rule was enacted relieving nathan and scott of another 4 runs. No worries though, as they had plenty more to make up the difference.
