Pike League Home Opener
True to his A-rod like performance trends, Angus took the home opener with some early power and timely hitting.

Angus scored two in the first on back to back homers. Alex got into the mix in the second with a single, triple and dirty single to put two across. Nathan hit some really weak dribblers when he was able to make contact; we were all very proud of his special performance.
Angus put another run across in the second on some walks and dirties. He went to town in the third, putting a couple runs across on walks and singles before smacking a granny to deep left.
The weather was great and it was a great test run of the new backstop, which was a huge success and money well spent. The game also saw a couple of DPs (Dick Pitch), a technique first seen in last year's PLCS. A good DP misses the backstop by about 100 feet and forces the batter to run back after the ball.
We are actively recruiting new Pike Leaguers as injuries have hurt the roster. Today's game was impromptu - we'll look to put a more solid schedule together in the weeks to come.
Nathan take first Pike League Game since founder Angus is traded.
