Pygmalion's Galatea: 7-6

Alex, Sarah and Ed woke up to beat Nathan, Angus and Grant, 7-6, with a walk-off on Lefty Day at The Lot.
        1 2 3 4 R
NAG 4 0 1 1 6
ASE 0 3 0 4 7

Nathan put his team ahead early, following three walks with a granny to start the game. It looked like they would cruise to the win at that point. 4-0 after one.

Angus made it interesting in the bottom of the second, throwing as many as 15 balls in a row while he loaded the bases and walked three runs in. Wheels came off, axles broke, frame rusted through. He was lucky to get out of the inning with the lead still intact. 4-3 after two.

Ed was kind enough to start the next inning with a 10 oz filet, USDA Prime, medium-rare piece of meat that Angus crushed to deep left center. Kind Ed. 5-3 after three.

Nathan added an insurance run in the top of the fourth and then took the ball to close out the win. Except the eefus pitch was not hitting the strike zone, and then no pitches were hitting the strike zone. Must have been the heat. A strange dead wind was also cursed as a bad omen. Alex, aka The Statue, watched his way to the bases loaded and then watched another one in to make the score 6-4. He then woke out of his trance to smash a double to right center and tie the game. With the next batter he rocked a single to right for the walk-off victory. Straight out of the movie Awakenings. Final: 7-6.
