Nathan led off with an opposite field homer and looked like he was rolling. Great defensive positioning and play-making was the story of the day, however, as several of Nathan's hard-hit balls were handled easily by the defense in the first inning and throughout the day.
Angus got it started in the second with a walk and a homer to make the score 1-2-0. Nathan countered with a double-double-triple-single in the third to make it 3-2-0. Angus tied it up with a first-pitch homer to deep left, 3-3-0. Sarah had several good chances but could not bring the runners around as the defense was not giving up anything - a rare day without a dirty single.
In the final inning, Angus ran a single-single-triple-double string to get three more runs and seal the victory. The triple was a neat shot down the right field line that hit the curb and stayed fair down the line. Final, 3-6-0.
