Executive Committe Rules Unanimously In Favor Of Victors

The Executive Committee has unanimously ruled in favor of Hammy & GAR as Opening Day 'Champions of the World', according to a COTW news service bulletin. The Committee noted that the despondent protest filed by Big Sloppy was 'fallicious, erroneous, contentious and obnoxious in its malevolence.'
The Committee noted that Big Sloppy has also been cited for yet another ungamesman-like conduct violation after throwing a bat across the field after the final out was made in the Championship game. In what was described as a 'juvenile act' by the Committee, Big Sloppy may not be available for play in the upcoming Chester Field Father's Day Event due to a pending (1) game suspension. It should also be noted that although this is Big Sloppy's first suspension of the young 2008 season, it is his 13th overall since 2006.

Executive Committee Reverses Decision

The COTW Executive Committee has reversed it's earlier decision of granting a suspension to BigSloppy. The statement issued by the EC said, in part: "While throwing equipment is not unheard of in high level Wiffle ball competition, it is uncommon to hear an opposing player whine about it."

For the record BigSloppy has only said, "Bats, they are sick. I cannot hit curveball. Straightball I hit very much. Curveball, bats are afraid. I ask Jobu to come, take fear from bats. I offer him cigar, rum. He will come."
