PEI Summer Ball 2009
Nick and Gus took home the Bunkhouse League title, going undefeated at South Lake Stadium.
Nick and Gus beat Scott and Benny the first game 5-4 in short innings, in a game that was played under protest as Gus needed to sit out for an inning.
In the second game, Nick and Gus took home the title in a full seven innings. Nick pitched a great game and the defense was just good enough to win.
The final game showcased a couple rookies: Eli and Dan. Eli was drafted by Scott and Benny and Dan went to Nick and Gus. Gus hit a three run dinger over the house to take a 3-0 lead, and Eli came back with a three run blast that came within a bat's length of the wood shed. Game ended in a 3-3 tie.
Eli's solid performance in summer ball impressed the scouts and he has been called up to play in this weekend's Championship League game at Putney.
